Nature walk

On this beautiful afternoon we took a walk on the nature path behind the school with Gina's first graders. What a lovely way to spend the afternoon!

Who stole the cookies?

As a fun way to learn to recognize the names of our classmates, we gave been playing Who Stole the Cookies From the Cookie Jar. The kids really love it!

We read this book today and the kids loved it!!!

Work!

We dabbled in our first 'work' in kindergarten- writing our names and drawing a picture!

Scissors and glue sticks

Today we explored using, and caring for, scissors and glue. Kids lived hearing the 'pop' sound when the glue stick cap was on all the way. We created rainbow collages that are hanging by the cubbies. Check them out!

Sneakers

Please try to remember that kids need sneakers on Monday and Tuesday for P.E. Class. You are welcome to leave them here if that's easier than remembering to pack them each week.

First day!

What a fabulous first day we had today! We read 3 books, explored many class materials and made some new friends. We played outside and inside. We read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and went on a letter hunt around the school. It was a great, great day!
